We are pleased to announce the arrival of CGPACS Board Member, and UCI Professor of Planning, Policy and Design, Scott A. Bollens' new book titled City and Soul in Divided Societies (Routledge 2011). This book provides an indepth and interdisciplinary analysis of nine politically divided cities including Jerusalem, Beirut, Belfast, Johannesburg, Nicosia, Sarajevo, Mostar, Bilbao, and Barcelona. Bollens uses significant personal narrative and autobiographical content, as well as the presentation of interviews and hard data to explore the challenges of living in a divided city.
